Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone. I own a laptop Hp Envy 15-J009eo and I have a problem with starting and charging the battery. only with the charger connected, it does not start at all. If the battery is charged, it starts well, but does not charge. if I remove the battery while the laptop is running, it only works well with the charger. if I turn off the laptop (the battery is still removed), it does not turn back on. In short: it takes a battery to start, then I can remove it, because it works well. with the battery in place, it starts every time (the condition is not to be discharged). I checked the charger with a multimeter, it has good voltage. I tried hard reset (holding down power for 1 minute, no battery, no charger), it had no effect. I removed the battery from the BIOS, in vain. when it worked, I updated the BIOS. using Hp wizard, I tested the battery, it says it works properly. where is the problem?

I feel the problem is from the charger, The battery seems fine based on what you said and possibly the charger needs to be replaced. I feel the charger may be touching and so it may still work but has some fault. Try getting a new charger and see if it changes anything.

Keep me posted.

I ordered another cable. I say cable, because the charger has an adapter plug at the end, a switch from a thick plug to a thin plug. I connected this adapter plug to 2 chargers, it shows the same, meaning the laptop does not turn on. I'm waiting for the new cable to arrive and I'll be back with the answer. Thank you

Okay great.

problem solved . the plug adapter at the end of the charger cable was to blame. Even if measured with the multimeter it had a voltage of 19v, it was defective. thank you for help.
