Hi,
If the HP hardware tests passed but the notebook still shows “No bootable device found / Boot Device Not Found,” I would first avoid assuming the drive is physically bad. This can also happen if the BIOS boot settings are corrupted, the bootloader is damaged, or Windows is no longer bootable.
Please try the following steps:
- Turn off the notebook.
- Power it on and immediately tap F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS Setup.
- Press F9 to load BIOS Setup Defaults.
- Press F10 to save and exit.
- Restart and check if Windows boots.
HP’s official guide for Boot Device Not Found / Hard Disk 3F0:

If the issue remains, enter BIOS again and confirm that the internal SSD/HDD is detected. If the drive is detected and all HP diagnostics pass, the next step is usually recovery or Windows reinstallation.
For HP recovery media, use HP Cloud Recovery:

Important note: simply copying Windows files or an ISO to a USB stick from an Android phone usually will not make it bootable. HP Cloud Recovery and Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool normally require access to a Windows computer to properly create a bootable recovery USB.
Once you have a proper bootable USB:
- Insert the USB drive.
- Power on the laptop and tap Esc repeatedly.
- Press F9 for Boot Device Options.
- Select the USB drive.
- First try Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Startup Repair.
- If repair fails, back up any important data if possible, then reinstall Windows.
If the internal drive is not detected in BIOS, even though diagnostics were run, then the SSD/HDD connection or the drive itself should be checked. But if the drive is detected and tests pass, this is most likely a corrupted boot/Windows installation rather than a hardware failure.
