Hi all i have a new Hp Oman 17 laptop and need to boot from Linux that's a USB drive for this i need to enable legacy boot in the bios.i cant seem to be able to find this option in the bios... i have updated the bios to the latest version and disabled secure boot. But the legacy boot option is not any ware to be seen in the uefi bios. Am i missing something?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to enable secure boot on your computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you disable secure boot and it will automatically enable legacy support.

 

Follow the steps in the below article for detailed steps.

@The_Fossette Thank you for the response e my bios looks different than the on that article i can disable safeboot but i still don't get any legacy support My bios is very limited i have updated to the latest version 10

I recommend you contact support and they will be able to take remote of your computer and check this for you.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
