HP OMEN-17 2019

Model: 17-cb0006na

Product should still have 30+ months of warranty.

So this happened today, laptop was completely fine yesterday - I always keep it plugged in as its like my primary computer; put it on sleep mode and close the lid.

I had it on sleep mode over night, opened the lid the lights on the keyboard turned off.

Did the usual - power off - reset - but still absolutely nothing. Only red LED light on the power button shows up. (In fact the fans don't even spin).

.

.

.

After several trouble shoot using both the "Virtual Assistant" as well as help from community from other users.

I've performed these fixes so far:

-Taken off battery

-Powered off 10s, powered back on - still nothing.

-Figured it must be a ram issue, tried taking all of them off, rearranging, still nothing.

- Tried WIN + B + POWER - Still nothing.

I have tried absolutely every possible trouble shoot that i can do without breaking my warranty. I think i may have to send this into HP physically and get it repaired. But before i do that, i need help from the community.

NOTE:

The laptop never indicated any sign of fault ever before; it performed perfectly well, never overheated, never had any form of issue, this is the first time i had to take off the back.

As suspected; it was MOBO issue not receiving power.

Laptop still had 33 months of warranty; sent it in for repair and the whole motherboard was replaced with a new one. It is working fine now; with no issues so far.

@ShiroYui

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

This sounds like hardware related issue with the computer as it's not booting up.
I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Note: You can try connecting the computer to an external monitor or TV, If it works fine then it means internal display issue and computer needs to be serviced.

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
