Hi @Richard0609,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing a "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area" blue screen error on your HP Envy X360 laptop indicates a memory-related issue within the Windows operating system. This error typically occurs when Windows attempts to access a portion of memory that should be non-paged but is not available.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary glitches. Make sure to properly shut down your laptop, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Boot into Safe Mode: Booting into Safe Mode can help identify if the issue is related to a third-party driver or software causing conflicts. To do this:

  • Restart your laptop.
  • As it starts up, press the F8 or Shift + F8 key repeatedly (this might vary based on your laptop model) until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu.
  • Select "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking."

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, updating Windows can resolve compatibility issues that may be causing the error.

Check for Driver Updates: Outdated or incompatible drivers can lead to blue screen errors. Visit the official HP website and download the latest drivers for your laptop model.

Run Memory Diagnostic: Your laptop's memory (RAM) might be causing the issue. Windows has a built-in Memory Diagnostic tool:

  • Press the Windows key, type "Windows Memory Diagnostic," and press Enter.
  • Choose "Restart now and check for problems."
  • Windows will perform a memory test during the next boot.

Check for Disk Errors: Disk errors can also cause system instability. You can use the built-in Check Disk utility to scan and repair disk errors:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Type chkdsk /f /r and press Enter.
  • You might need to schedule the scan for the next restart.

System Restore: If you recently installed new software or drivers, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a point before the issue started:

  • Type "Create a restore point" in the Windows search bar and open it.
  • Click on the "System Restore" button and follow the instructions.

Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware problem causing the issue. You

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
