I've changed the wifi card from a AC 3168 to AC 7265 on a hp 14-cm0002na and it will not boot. I cannot even get into the BIOS. The screen does not turn on at all. The fans do spin and the computer is On but doesn't show any response to any key combination. I tried to insert to insert the wifi card whilst the computer was booting but that worked only once and when the computer restarts the same issue arises where it doesn't boot. Every other time I get a blue-screen with the error RTKVHD.sys failed with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. Nothing I did in the BIOS changed anything. I still have the computer not booting at all. It boots normally when I remove the wifi card but I need wifi to use the computer. It worked once but that was maybe just my timing. How can I get this working? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:
That model Intel card is probably not supported in the model series.
A very limited number of Intel Wi-Fi cards are supported in AMD notebooks, and you have to know which ones are and buy one with a specific part number.
If you look at chapter 3, page 18 of your notebook's service manual, you will note that the only Intel card that was supported in the model series is the one you removed.

If you want to upgrade the card, I recommend trying this one out because it is the exact same model card that HP installed in my 15-ee0047nr notebook which as an AMD Ryzen 4500U processor.

You can find this model card on eBay. Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.
I wouldn't buy the first one listed. It does not look right to me.
You can also buy one new from HP, but it is very expensive.
