HP Pavilion - 15-cc023cl

My laptop was running fine until I unplugged it and moved it to another room. I didn't plug it back in but it shut down when the battery drained.

When trying to restart it  The repair program starts running and tells me there's a battery failure. So I purchased and installed a new battery. Now when starting it tells me that battery is good but needs to be calibrated then tells me  I have a Hard Drive Short DST check Failure.

How does my hard drive get messed up from the battery draining. I don't know what next steps to take.
