hai all..,
Hp pavilion 15 e-006tu on boot showing ESC.. press esc to startup with beeps. Some noises similar to something stucking from inside laptop too. After 10 minutes it boots up. Same beeps and other noises occur whenever a USB or external hard disk is connected for few minutes though the laptop wil be working fine. After two days this started touchpad stopped working. Any body knows what the issue is...?
The only change i made to the hardware recently is that 3 months ago i added 4gb of new ram (Crucial 4GB CT51264BF160B 204-pin SODIMM DDR3 PC3-12800 memory module) making the total ram to be 8gb.
The ram with the laptop happens to have 8 chip while the newly added extra ram has 16 chips.

Hai @The_Fossette
I found out that it was a corrupted dvd in the drive which i was not aware of gave the trouble. Removal of the dvd and a hard reset as per the above reply helped with the boot problem. Now my laptop boots fine. The touchpad is still not working though.
Thanks for the reply.
