Pavilion 15n209tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Followed the BIOS update process as described on HP.

1 . “Windows +B” key followed by

2. “writing New BIOS Image” then

3. “verifying new BIOS Image”

4. A black screen with message

”A System BIOS recovery has occurred

BIOS Recovery (500)

ENTER - continue

for more information, please visite hp-link”

It seems HP should fix this BIOS update also allow to rollback to earlier version like F.70 or Earlier.

I don’t know whats wrong here but after repeating the process several times my notebook still doesn’t boot to windows. Also post this getting into BIOS is a challenge no matter what keys I press F10 , F11, F1, F2 , ESC with (Windows +B )combination sometime it boots to windows

sometimes goes to BIOS!!
I see on my system BIOS system log there are entries with 0500 code with time stamp. Few more old entries with 0021, but the recent one is 0500. Thats seems no error to me as many other online videos has the similar sequence of steps even in HP official link has the same. I tried all the

troubleshooting as given on the hp website HP diagnostics also runs perfectly for all my components once I boot to windows. Can some one help how to resolve the boot loop issue, the machine simply waits if started & keep on restarting for me to press windows +B or F keys combination, CAPS lock key blinks all the time & then randomly goes to windows or BIOS

@rghtkr Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing issues with the BIOS update.

In that case, I would suggest you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

If the product not under warranty, there will be a charge for the support.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.
