Hi @THayes24,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP Pavilion x360’s power light is blinking and the screen remains black, it often indicates a hardware issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter.
- Remove the battery if it's removable.
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning on the laptop.
Check the Power Adapter and Battery:
- Ensure the power adapter is properly connected and not damaged.
- If possible, test with a different power adapter that is compatible with your laptop.
- Try starting the laptop with the battery removed and only the power adapter connected.
Inspect the RAM:
- Sometimes, loose or faulty RAM can cause boot issues.
- If you're comfortable opening the laptop, reseat the RAM modules or try starting the laptop with one module at a time if there are multiple.
Check for LED Blink Codes:
- HP laptops sometimes use LED blink codes to indicate specific hardware issues.
- Count the number of blinks and refer to the HP support website or manual for what the blink pattern might indicate.
External Display Test:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV to check if the issue is with the screen or the laptop itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
