Hp 250 g10. Caps lock flashing. Blank screen

Hi,

A blank screen with the Caps Lock light flashing usually means the notebook is showing an HP hardware/BIOS blink code. The exact blink pattern is important.

Please count the flashes carefully, for example:

  • 2 long / 2 short
  • 3 long / 2 short
  • 5 long / 3 short

Please try these basic steps first:

  1. Disconnect the AC adapter and all external devices.
  2. Hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.
  3. Reconnect only the AC adapter.
  4. Try turning the laptop on again.

Also try BIOS recovery:

  1. Connect the AC adapter.
  2. Press and hold Windows + B.
  3. While holding the keys, press the power button for 2–3 seconds.
  4. Release the power button but keep holding Windows + B for a few more seconds.
  5. Wait to see if the HP BIOS Recovery screen appears.

If the blink code continues, please post the exact blink pattern. That will help identify whether the issue is related to memory, BIOS, system board, or another hardware component.
