Hi @zain0071,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be several reasons why your HP Spectre X360 Convertible laptop PC cannot boot from your USB drive. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Check your BIOS settings: Make sure that your laptop is configured to boot from a USB device. You can do this by accessing your BIOS settings during startup. To access BIOS settings, restart your laptop and press the F10 key repeatedly until the BIOS setup screen appears. Then, go to the Boot tab and make sure that USB is at the top of the boot order list.
- Verify your USB is bootable: Ensure that your USB drive is bootable by trying to boot from it on another computer. If it is not bootable, you can create a bootable USB drive by using a tool such as Rufus or UNetbootin.
- Try a different USB port: Sometimes, the USB port you are using may not be working properly. Try using a different USB port on your laptop to see if that resolves the issue.
- Check the USB drive format: Ensure that your USB drive is formatted correctly to be bootable. The recommended file system format for bootable USB drives is FAT32.
- Check the USB drive compatibility: Ensure that your USB drive is compatible with your laptop. Some USB drives may not be compatible with certain laptops.
- Update BIOS: Check for the latest BIOS update for your laptop on the HP website and update it if available.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
