Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does anyone know what Failure ID code QCTQ5T-83PA41-XD7X6J-60RC03 means? It has a reference to hard drive 1 - primary HDD bay.

Am I correct to assume that I need a new hard drive? Computer will not boot Windows 10. Been thru all the diagnostics and nothing works.

Computer is only

4 years old.

Hi:

 

Yes, the error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means the hard drive needs to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the drive, you can reinstall W10 for free by making bootable W10 installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
