Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue which seems to be recurrent with hp products.

I tried to use the Hp Support Assistant to update my softwares and in everything was going fine until it got to the BIOS update. First it said “writing new BIOS image” then it says “verifying...” After that it says it was completed but the “complete startup” button was grayish so I figured I should just let it go through the end of the count down, thinking it would automatically restart. But then I got a black screen and my computer won’t work.

I’ve already tried the “windows+B or V keys while pressing the log on button” and  also “log on + esc” still nothing. I need help please!

Hi Raj1788. I had the same problem, I was updating the BIOS, I did a successful Flash drive Recovery, but after the shutdown it never worked again. SN#[edited]. Can you help me?

@JuanPa3
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Performing BIOS recovery:

  1. Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.

  2. Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds.

  3. Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.

  4. If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps but press the Windows key and the V key. If the screen still does not display, your computer might not support the feature or there is a hard drive issue. Continue to the next section to Recover the BIOS using a USB recovery drive.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
