Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

HI,
I want to try to reload BIOS to fix BIOS error/black screen. I tried many other simpler fixes, such as pressing restore BIOS keys, suggested by HP.

Can I have a BIOS file for USB stick for-

Model: HP Pavilion dv5-1112ea

Windows Vista
AMD processor
SN: [personal info removed]
PN: FU751EA#ABU

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, the BIOS updates for that model series are all executable files meant to be run in Windows.

 

HP has retired support for the dv5 model series since it is more than 10 years old.

 

The only place that I know of where you can download the BIOS update file for your notebook would be from this reputable 3rd party website.

 

F.38:

 

HP Pavilion dv5-1112ea BIOS (driverscollection.com)

 

There may be a way to convert the contents of the exe file so it would work outside of the Windows environment, but I would have no idea to even begin how to do that.
