Is the AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-72 CPU under consideration regarding the re-boot failure issue after installing (or rather attempting to install) KB4056892 or is the CQ60 deemed too old and obsolete?

My bad!, I should have explained further. - In various microsoft forums, they imply that MS is 'disabling' the KB 4056892 download to those computers with certain other AMD CPU's (Althlon and others) installed until the 'PC hanging on re-boot loop' issue is resolved, with no mention of the AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-72 CPU.
I am finding that KB4056892 is still trying to force itself onto my Compaq CQ60 some 3 or 4 days after this 'announcement'. As my laptop is now some 7 years old and was running Win10 perfectly until the KB4056892 update, my question is :- Is the AMD Turion CPU along with the Atlon etc., under consideration (by MS, AMD, Intel, etc.) in the rectification of the 'PC hanging on re-boot loop' issue? and if not, does that mean my CQ60 is now scrap??

Wow I thought it was something simple but its not. AMD, MS HP etc. do not clear their plans with lowly old me so I have no idea.
So the xxx56892 update is now installed but unless it is a BIOS update (which it would not be if it comes from Microsoft) can't you just uninstall it like any other update and then set the Windows updater to ignore it in the future or am I oversimplifying a complex thing? I seem to get the vibe that it is a Meltdown and Spectre patch, right?

I tried to respond last night but it seems that my post didn't take so I'll try again.
Thanks Huffer, for your reply. This was my very first visit to the HP Discussion Boards and I was hoping an HP/Compaq (employee?) Moderator might step in with a definitive response regarding my Compaq CQ60 and the AMD Turion RM-72 CPU in particular, hence my original question.
Sadly, although the xxx56892 update does seem to 'download and install', as soon as the soft re-boot to inialise starts to takes place, the pc halts immediately after POST with a blue Win10 flag logo on the screen and all activity stops. It then takes two forced re-boots (hard power-downs) to make progress when Windows (not BIOS) starts to attempt a repair, removing the update and eventually booting back to the state it was in before the download and consequently xxx56892 update immediately starts to 'download and install' itself again. That loops continues over and over ad-nauseam.
The only ways to stop and prevent the update are either by disabling (disconnecting) the (WiFi) internet connection immediately is starts the 'repaired' reboot and/or by disabling ALL Windows Updates. And, as it is no longer there, the xxx56892 update cannot be uninstalled or blocked. Neither option being very satisfactory but the second being preferred so I can at least get Windows running again and regain access to the internet. Catch 22?
Sorry this reply is long and complex - but you did ask <g>
Thanks again for your response and good to see that someone out there has their ears on.

Huffer, your point about the young shavers is well taken from an old fart like me <g> however, there does appear to be someone else listening out there. No less than Mark Papermaster, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of AMD in his 'Update on AMD Processor Security' (https://www.amd.com/en/corporate/speculative-execution) in which he acknowledges their Turion CPU as being under consideration.
Unfortunately, as at the early hours of this morning MS do not seem to have 'paused the distribution' of xxx56892 to my CQ60 so I'm havng to repair it and stop ALL Windows Updates yet again! AMD and MS are just pointing the finger at each other in the blame game and I think MS is losing. Omnishambles?
I'll give it another week and see what happens.

Huffer, for completeness and in an effort to (hopefully) put this thread to bed, MS have eventually issued a further update (KB 4073291) on 19th January (almost 3 weeks later) which specificaly addresses x86 based (32 bit) versions of Win 10 with 'older AMD processors'.
To cut a long story short, after running it for the past couple of days, I am pleased to report that this appears to have completely resolved the issue I had been suffering and my HP Compaq CQ60 now reports Win 10 version 1709 (OS Build 16299.201) - some 9 points higher than which KB 4056892 reports (16299.192) on my other x64 based (64 bit) Win 10 Intel CPU machines.
So my 8 year old Laptop continues to live on for another day and has been reprieved from a premature consignment to the local dumpster - WEEE not withstanding <g>
