HP compaq 6910p
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

My laptop hp compaq 6910p keys ( ENTER, BACKSPACE, SPACEBAR, downward and upward arrow keys ) are not working. Ive repaced its keyboard but no change in its status. Now ive formatted windows 7 to install new windows... But in bios also all above mentioned keys are not working. Im worried that instAllinv new windows will also not solve the problem. Ive also cleaned its connector.  But connecting external usb keyboard works fine. Any suggestion???

If your builtin keyboard does not even work in the BIOS, why would you think that reinstalling Windows would fix anything?

Especially since the external works, that indicates a basic hardware issue with the keyboard connection or contact layer in the laptop -- neither of which we can test or repair from here.

You would have to take or send this into an HP Service Center to have it checked out to see if it can be repaired.

If you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:

Good Luck
