Hi @HARHSDA,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP 15.6-inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 (Product ID: 4V9X9AV) is not turning on or is not working. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

This clears any residual electrical charge that may be preventing startup.

  1. Turn off the laptop completely.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter and remove any external devices (USB, HDMI, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power adapter (but not other devices).
  5. Press the power button to turn it on.

 2. Check for Signs of Power

  • Do any LED lights turn on (power button, charging light)?
  • Do you hear fan noise or drive spinning?
  • If no signs of life, try a different power outlet or adapter.

3. Try BIOS Recovery

If the screen stays black:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds.
  3. Release all keys and wait.
  4. If successful, the BIOS recovery screen will appear.

4. Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

If the laptop powers on but doesn’t boot:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to enter diagnostics.
  3. Run the System Test or Component Tests (especially memory and storage).

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
