As stated in the subject, my laptop 15 running on Windows 11 started getting the blue screen error with the stop code driver verifier DMA violation five days ago. I have tried resetting it three times, both using a network connection and locally, and the issue still remains. I have also ran the system extensive test and everything passes. I contacted HP yesterday and was instructed to run the driver verifier, did that following the directions, and yet the issue is still present. I have not installed any new hardware or software prior to when the laptop starting doing this.

Hi @jbowen81,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Driver Verifier DMA Violation Stop Code on HP Laptop 15!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Disable Driver Verifier
Driver Verifier can sometimes cause issues if it detects problematic drivers. Disabling it may help resolve the boot loop.
Boot into Safe Mode:
- Restart your laptop.
- As soon as it starts to boot, repeatedly press F8 until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
- Choose Safe Mode with Networking from the list.
Disable Driver Verifier:
- In Safe Mode, press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type cmd and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open Command Prompt as administrator.
- Type verifier /reset and press Enter.
Check for Driver Updates
Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause stop code errors. Ensure all drivers are up-to-date.
Update Drivers via Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Right-click each device and select Update driver.
Use HP Support Assistant:
- Launch HP Support Assistant from the Start menu.
- Navigate to My laptop > Updates and install any available driver updates.
Perform System Restore
Performing a system restore can revert your system back to a point before the issue occurred.
Access Recovery Options:
- In Safe Mode, press Windows + S and type Recovery.
- Select Recovery options.
Run System Restore:
- Click Open System Restore and follow the prompts to restore your system to a previous state.
Check for Windows Updates
Ensure your operating system is up-to-date, as some updates can fix bugs and compatibility issues.
- Update Windows:
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Navigate to Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any updates.
I hope this helps.
