Hi !

So this exact same thing happened to me, and I followed steps 1-8, but when I turned on the notebook, nothing changed.

I'd like to know if there's something else I can without having to lose my information.

Thanks !!

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand, you're in need of support,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

What is the operating system on PC?

Have you tried troubleshooting steps mentioned in the thread

What happens when you boot your notebook?

Once I have the information, I'll help you further with troubleshooting steps,

Keep me posted,

Cheers 🙂

Is the notebook 14-ac103la
Prod. ID: P3E08LA#ABM
Windows 10

So my notebook turns on, but the screen remains blank and the Windows logo is never shown. The Bloq Mayus works but that's it.
Also, whenever I press Esc, there's a message in the bottom left saying ESC ... Pause Startup. And if I try F10, then the message F10 ... BIOS Setup Options pops of the same spot bottom left, but nothing else happens.

I've already tried hard resetting and using Windows + B for the BIOS update that it didn't work.

Thanks for responding,

Is your notebook booting to F11?

Have you performed Hardware test?

Have you tried troubleshooting steps mentioned in the thread?

Let's run system test:

  • Press the Power button to turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, about once every second, until you see HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • From the UEFI main menu, click System Tests, then click Quick Test.
  • Click Run once.
  • While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are shown on the screen. The test can take up to 15 minutes.
  • If no system component failed, please go back to main menu and Exit from the screen
  • If a component fails a test, write down the information so you have it available when you contact HP Customer Support. The information is also available in Test Logs on the main menu.

Keep me posted,

Have a great day 🙂

So, I pressed F2 and the same happened:

On the bottom left a message appeared saying : F2 ... Startup Check, but nothing else happened. It just stayed stuck there

Thanks for your reply. I truly appreciate your patience and efforts.

As @Flower_Bud is out of the office at the moment, I'm replying to you.

As your HP Notebook - 14-ac103la is unable to go to  the BIOS, F2 diagnostics screen and Windows also, the evidence points towards an internal failure with the laptop.

In such a case I recommend you to contact our HP phone support team to explore the available service options for the laptop based on the warranty. The phone support team can be reached via the following steps:

HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:

  1. Click on this link – https://hp.care/2moMFSc
  2. 2) Click on “Continue as guest”.
  3. 3) Enter the serial of your device.
  4. 4) Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. 5) Click on “Show Options”.

Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Hope this information helps and your laptop gets fixed at the earliest. Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care! 🙂
