ZBOOK

Hi,

For some time with my ZBOOK, I sometimes got a blue screen when I was holding the laptop on the right side, and kind of putting pressure from below the laptop around the numpad/enter-key area.

This morning when I tried to start the laptop, the monitor was a little bit dimmed, and the keyboard was acting strange. It didn't make the key presses I was making. Most of the time, it did nothing, but sometimes it would insert a "1" or "§" into the password field when I was trying to log in. It only sent those characters when I was clicking a button, but not those buttons. At some point, it just started repeatedly sending those characters for a long time, and I couldnt stop it.

At this point, I suspected that perhaps my keyboard connection on the hardware was faulty, or something else. So I opened up the laptop. Everything looked fine, I unplugged the battery to see better.

Then, I found this HP thread and decided I wanted to try clicking Esc on startup to see if I could determine whether it was a problem with the integrated keyboard. So I plugged back the battery and tried to start it up, clicking Esc.

However, this time nothing showed up on my monitor, it was just black. And the laptop seemingly shut down a few seconds later. I tried again, and could get it to keep running for longer, but still nothing visible on the monitor.

Function buttons don't seem to work still, because the mute button and microphone mute button are both alight.

I found another thread and tried all of the suggestions in there. Nothing works, it's all just black. The only discrepancy I could notice was that when I held the Windows + V and then clicked the power button, nothing happened. No lights came on.

Of course I have already tried to unplug and plug back the battery again, but it also doesn't work.

I didn't disconnect any other connectors inside the laptop except for the battery one.

Hope this is enough for someone to help me further.. Thank you!
