@5cd40802cf, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear your laptop isn't starting up. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get it working again:

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery (if it's removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter (and battery if removed), then try turning on the laptop.

Check the Power Supply:

  • Ensure the power cord and adapter are working. Try using a different power outlet or adapter if possible.

Remove External Devices:

  • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.) and try starting the laptop again.

Test the Battery:

  • If the laptop starts with the AC adapter but not with the battery, the battery might be faulty.

Reset the BIOS:

  • If the laptop still doesn't start, you can try resetting the BIOS by pressing the Windows + B keys while turning on the laptop.
