Example: SPECTRE
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My laptop’s screen remains black after I turn it on. Power button shows that computer is on and fan is working. I tried to plug in external laptop and but it does not work either. When I drained my battery, connected to power and turned on, I saw briefly the logo “HP” but the screen turned black after and Windows did not start.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please try getting to BIOS and let me know if that works

Shut down the Notebook and upon restarting keep tapping on F10 till you see System Configuration Menu

Keep me posted

Thank you

Thank you so much for helping me!

yes, I already did full diagnostics and all tests are pass. After this I loaded BIOS, but the computer still shows black screen ( I can see screen is on as it is a lighter shade of black)

i am thinking, can it be virus? Should I re-install Windows all together?

Did all the Tests pass? I suggest you perform a System Recovery
