So basically, awhile back my house got struck by lightning, my computer was plugged in during the time but it was on the opposite side of the house and plugged in to a great surge protecter. I thought nothing of it as everything in my room was not fried or messed up besides a samsung charger cube. I got on and started to play fortnite through Gforce Now and noticed that my conputer wasnt charging yet plugged in, it was draining as it said. My computer finally died and now everytime i plug it in with the battery, the light blinks white and when the battery is taken out and charging, the computers light is full white but doesnt turn on. So basically, my computer is not wanting to turn on no matter what. I know its not the computer nor the charger as it was detecting the charger and i was even playing on it until it died. So im wondering if there is anything i can do or if i just have to throw the battery in the trash and get a new one (and hopefully not have to get a new laptop).

Any help is appreciated

Welcome to the HP Support Community  @SuperBoy004

Remove the battery and AC adaptor.

Press and hold the power button for 20-30 seconds.

Just connect the AC adaptor and power-on.
