Microsoft Windows 11

Every 3-4 days my laptop takes over 10 minutes to boot. I received troubleshooting steps and the only one I’m unsure is is how to check to ensure my BIOS and drivers are up to date. How do I do that and how do I update if need be?

Some Microsoft updates may take a long time to download especially over a slow network connection. Typically the downloads occur when you power up, although 10 minutes does seem a long time.

Go to Windows updates and disable "Get the latest updates as soon as possible",   Look at Advanced Updates and enable what you really need.

Possibly you are downloading advertisements.

Except for Edge (Microsoft) and Chrome (Google) you might be able to prevent unwanted advertisement updates by running MRT

Type MRT in the windows search bar and press the enter key.
