i have a hp pavilion 14 and it doesn’t turn on. The power button flashes every 10 seconds but none of the fans or screen or keyboard is lighting up. It is able to charge still as the charging light comes on but it doesn’t respond to anything. The only thing it does respond to is the power button being held for a while and then the power button will stop flashing until it’s been pressed again.

@Jonnysherwill, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Pavilion 14 not booting!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
This issue usually indicates a hardware failure, often related to the motherboard, power delivery, or a faulty component preventing the system from booting. Try these troubleshooting steps:
Power Drain:
- Disconnect the charger.
- Hold the power button for 30-60 seconds to drain residual power.
- Reconnect the charger and try turning it on.
Check RAM & Reseat:
- If comfortable, remove the back panel and reseat the RAM module(s).
- If there are two RAM sticks, try booting with one at a time.
Check for Display Issues:
- Connect an external monitor via HDMI to see if there’s an output.
- If there’s no display, it’s likely a hardware issue.
BIOS Recovery:
- Press and hold Win + B, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release the power button but keep holding Win + B until you see the BIOS recovery screen.
Possible Causes:
- Motherboard failure (if the above steps don’t work).
- Faulty RAM or storage drive.
- Corrupt BIOS firmware (try the recovery method).
- Loose internal connections.
Let me know if you need further assistance!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
