Hi @Folakemi21,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that your HP ENVY x360 13-bf0000 powers on, the power light and fan are active, but there is no display or normal startup, and the Caps Lock light blinks 5 times.

On HP notebooks, Caps Lock or power LED blink patterns are hardware diagnostic indicators. A 5-blink pattern can indicate a problem related to the Embedded Controller (EC) or keyboard controller firmware, so this is more likely to be a startup hardware/firmware issue than a Windows display problem.

Perform a power reset.

  1. Turn the notebook off.
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter.
  3. Disconnect all nonessential USB devices and other peripherals.
  4. With the AC adapter disconnected, press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the AC adapter.
  6. Turn the notebook on and check whether the display returns.

If the 5-blink pattern continues, please let me know whether it is exactly 5 blinks and then stops, or whether it is 5 blinks followed by another sequence of blinks.

Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi

Thank you @Kuroi_Kenshi

I tried that already, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. I also tried resetting the BIOS by holding the Win + V keys while pressing the power button. I went through the whole process, but it still didn’t resolve the issue.

I eventually contacted HP Support, and I had to send my PC in for repair.

Thank you for your response, though. I truly appreciate it.
