I have posted this question before, but after 2 months I still haven't gotten an answer and my problem is still going.
My laptop will every now and then crash out of nowhere.
The screen will turn black and the caps lock will start blinking.
The only answer I got on my other post had a link to a page with the caps lock blinking codes so I decided to look what mine fell under.
After having looked at what my laptop falls under it's said to be a general system board failure.
The only fix that seems to be there is "remove all input devices" though, my laptop doesn't live off solar power and has to be charged and I need my Graphics Tablet for drawing and notes so not using input devices is not an option.
I've tried these for help: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01732674 and http://repairing-solution.blogspot.nl/p/hp-laptop-blank-screen-led-error-codes.html
I really really need help since I'm constantly losing progress on important files and having to stress towards deadlines.
Thanks in advance

Then you should probably visit an HP Support center.
I think your cpu fan is a bit loose (just thinking) and when its well it goes on and on but when its loose your laptop takes safety precautions and shuts it down so as to protect the core from melting you can't find any heating issue because it shuts down before it heats much.
Just a thought it maybe or maynot.
Support center is the place for you.

Hello, can you tell me if your laptop is generating much heat.
If yes, try investing in a cooling pad for your laptop as your cpu fan may not cooling the processor properly.
If no, try calling tech support or get it to an hp store or store from where you bought it.
To try fixing yourself (not recommended) open up your laptop (check on youtube to find a tutorial) clean the motherboard and cpu fan with a "dry' cloth peice check your display cable if its broken or not or any similar problem.
Thank You

It's definitely not the heat. I take good care of my pc and my laptop. clean my pc regularly and make sure my laptop is stationed in a spot with little to no dust. that and it's not feeling warm even when under load on heavy games on the go like PUBG.
sidenote; I've had this laptop for less than a year.
So it's definitely not heat that is ruining my laptop.
I think my best go is aiming it towards HP service or getting a new laptop.

The difference between the problem described in this post and mine is that I, even right now as of writing this message, am working on my laptop.
My laptop is on, performing well, drivers always up to date but it just crashes some times. sometimes it's right after starting, sometimes an hour or a few hours, sometimes it goes the whole day without crashing at all.
