Hey Kursk

Unfortunately those links and logging into the community to click the envelope don’t work.  I get a red box

saying that I don’t have sufficient privileges to read that private message when I click on the blue envelope ( which is nearly off the screen on the right hand side)

Hi @sailon,

Please try again since the private chat is enabled now.

I’ve tried everything possible and followed your instructions to access the private email but no success. When I login the is no blue envelope and following the instructions and link  there is no ‘other’ option.   Also the link provided “private messages - HP Support  Community“ (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/v3/privatenotespage) just sends me in a loop back to the home page.

As you can see from the screen shot my OS & data are on drive 0/Volume 0 but the volume is marked RAW instead of NTFS. Per your instructions I set volume. 1 to S which does contain the EFI folder in the root but the bcdboot C:\windows /s S:  /f UEFI  fails b/c it can’t find that folder on the raw volume.

I’ve been w/o my laptop for over a week now and would appreciate a response.  Thanks

Additionally information:

1. I fixed the C: Windows volume by running chkdsk which changed the volume back to NTFS

2. was able to run bootrec /fixmbr successfully but bootrec /fixboot returns Access denied

3. bcdboot C:\Windows volume /s S: /f UEFI fails when attempting to copy boot files

Not sure the C drive is ok, I see a windows folder and a users folder in the root of the C: drive
