Example: HP 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My laptop wouldn't turn on after I received a blue screen which said PC run into trouble, errors are being collected and then PC would be restarted. But when the PC tried to restart, the screen went dark with caps lock blinking once every four seconds and WiFi red light always on. I have removed the battery, pressed the power button for 30 seconds but it still wouldn't turn. Please help. Thank you.

Hello @Daniel251

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

So, it does not start now, nothing happens when you press the power-on button besides the blinking ?

If this is the case, you need to idenfity how exactly and how often does your PC blinks, identify the pattern. Please, let me know and I can guide you what may be the root cause.

Yes. Nothing happens when I try to turn the machine on. The Caps lock blinks once every 3-4 seconds and red WiFi light doesn't blink but just on. Any solution available? Thank you.

Hi,

The CAPS blinks once every 3-4 seconds, but how many times before it begins repeating itself ? Could you identify any pattern or any specifics in this ? Is this a long or short blinking ?

It blinks once and then repeat itself after every 4 seconds.

And it does so continuously.

If this is how it blinks, then this is a >CPU (processor)< issue. Thie is a hardware problem.

You should contact support for repair or bring/ship the PC to HP authorized service center (or a service center you trust) for repair activities. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first. If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Hope this helps.

* Alternatively, you may consider buying a new computer.

If your data is important for you and you want to extract it, you can open the PC and remove the >hard disk drive (HDD)<. You may buy and use a cable/adapter like >>this<< and plug one side to the HDD and the other one to another (working) computer. The other computer should be able to mount your HDD and then read the files inside.
