Product: Pavilion Dv5-2045dx

Hello all, I'm looking for the latest version of BIOS on my old Pavilion Dv5. here is what i have

No OS

Model # dv5-2045dx

Product # WQ747UA#ABA

Serial # [Edited]

original HDD got corrupted/locked up so right now it doesn't have a OS i can get on the BIOS and that's about it. Trying to install Linux but I think that i need to update my BIOS as I don't have the option to click off of safe (unlock) boot

Please do not include the product serial number or any private information

The last BIOS update HP released for your notebook was F.27.

 

Below are the info and exe file links to BIOS version F.27:

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56001-56500/sp56058.html

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56001-56500/sp56058.exe 

 

You can only run the BIOS updates in Windows, so you will have to install Windows on the PC.

 

The PC was supported to run W7 64 bit.
