ELITEBOOK 2570p
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hello, I have a ELITEBOOK 2570p. When I start The laptop I can press esc Button to bringa a menu from where I can choose to press f9 and Change The boot order temporary. How do I lock that option and pasword protect it so to boot from another device Will ned to enter password? Or can I remove that option so it can only appear if I go into bios settings (after entering password)

You have to set a general BIOS password which is a password you must enter to change ANY BIOS settings. The settings cannot be password protected on an item by item basis. Look for a security section of the BIOS which should let you set a BIOS password. Don't lose the password.

Sorry Im writing from my mobile and it kind of has its own life..

What I wanted to say is, Yes I have enabled the BIOS password and entering it or editiing it will require BIOS password. However, this F9 option is outside BIOS and it does not require password, how do I change that???

Solved by disabling all other boot options in the bios so now when pressing F9 there is only Notebooks hard drive option 🙂
