Locked out of my computer

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've got so used to using my finger print and now I cannot recall neither the pin nor the password. Therefore I'm locked out of my laptop and I don't have a disc or a USB device for a password reset.

@Darriex

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Are you referring to windows hello?

Change or remove your personal identification number (PIN).

  1. In Windows, search for and open Sign-in options.

  2. On the Accounts window, select Windows Hello PIN, click Change or Remove, and then follow the on-screen instructions. If a window displays prompting you to verify your identity, type the requested credentials.

    Changing or removing the Windows Hello PIN

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
