It appears this has been an issue with other users as well..the laptop is stuck on Entering 3rd Party Option ROM Management mode.
So I cannot access anything on this laptop...I've tried to exit where it gives me the option and it just goes back to shutting it down and starting all over..I'm afraid that HP computers have not improved in over 20 yrs..I always had problems with an HP computer desktop and sadly it looks like nothing has changed. I hope you can help me with this issue

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your HP laptop is stuck in the 3rd Party Option ROM Management mode, preventing you from accessing the system. This issue typically occurs due to BIOS/UEFI settings or firmware-related problems. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve this:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop.
- Unplug the power adapter.
- If the laptop has a removable battery, remove it.
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Reinsert the battery (if removed) and plug in the power adapter.
- Turn on the laptop and check if the issue persists.
Reset BIOS Settings
- Turn off the laptop.
- Power it on and immediately start pressing the F10 key repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
- If you can access BIOS, find the option to Restore Default Settings or Load Setup Defaults (usually under the "Exit" tab).
- Save and exit the BIOS, then restart your laptop.
Disable Secure Boot & Enable Legacy Mode (if applicable)
- Enter BIOS by pressing F10 at startup.
- Navigate to Security or Boot settings.
- Disable Secure Boot.
- Enable Legacy Support (if available).
- Save changes and restart the laptop.
BIOS Recovery (if BIOS is Corrupted)
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press and hold the Windows + B keys.
- While holding them, press and hold the Power button for about 2-3 seconds and then release only the power button (keep holding Windows + B).
- If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know which step worked for you or if you need further assistance!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
