Hi @Umar12367 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like the new RAM you installed may be causing compatibility issues with your HP Stream laptop. The fact that the laptop works fine with the old RAM suggests that the problem lies with the new RAM module.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Compatibility: Ensure that the new RAM module is compatible with your HP Stream 14-cb107ca. Check the specifications, such as the type (DDR3, DDR4), speed, and capacity of the RAM to make sure it matches the requirements of your laptop.
Reinstall the New RAM: Make sure that the new RAM is seated properly in the memory slot. Turn off the laptop, remove the battery (if possible), and reinstall the new RAM. Ensure that it clicks securely into place.
Try One Module at a Time: If you have more than one module of the new RAM, try installing each module separately to identify if one of them might be faulty. This can help you pinpoint the problematic module.
Update BIOS/UEFI: Check if there is a BIOS or UEFI update available for your laptop. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can improve compatibility with new hardware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
