My HP Notebook 15-f233wm won’t charge or turn on at all. I plugged it in last night the charger light came on I left it overnight and went to use it this morning and now the charger light doesn’t come on at all when plugged in and my labtop won’t turn on. I’ve used multiple outlets and made sure everything’s plugged in right and nothings damaged. It all of a sudden overnight stopped charging and working. It has a detachable battery so im hoping it’s the power cord or the battery itself. Is there anyway to tell ? I plan to run to my sisters and use her HP charger to see if that will charge it. If not can I tell whether it is the battery itself or not? I don’t want to buy one if the whole labtop fried or something.

Unless you are into electronic work and have a multimeter and know how to use it, without the PC working, there's no way to check the battery.
If it is possible, to find out the problem, you would need to be able run hardware diagnostics by pressing the Esc key repeatedly and then, when the HP Startup Menu appears, select Diagnostics (usually F2) and let it run.
If it is NOT possible, or if that does not work, and you have access to another battery, you can try inserting that and seeinf it that makes a difference.
If it does not, then it's not strictly the battery and there is NOTHING more you can do by yourself -- and there is NOTHING we can do because we have no way of accessing your PC from here to run diagnostics or repair hardware.
You will need to have the PC physically examined in a service facility by folks that can run their own diagnostics to determine what is wrong with it.

If your PC is still under the original one-year HP warranty, or if you have purchased an extended warranty from HP and this is still valid, then having HP do this is an inexpensive option for you. In that case, you should contact HP Customer Support to see about having it repaired or replaced under warranty.
To contact HP Support see the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Here is the link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.
--------------------
If your PC is no longer under warranty, then it will cost you up front to have HP examine your PC. If you want to do that, you will have to contact an HP Repair or Service Center to see if they can examine the PC to determine the cause(s) of the problems, if it can be repaired, and an estimate of the repair costs.
Since you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:
