Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a recent large Windows 10 update.  This seems to coincide with the update.

Hmm.. this is the HP Community Forum.

Forum Help for Dell devices:  Dell Forum

In GENERAL, solutions include (and are not limited to):

Try temporarily switching off Fast Boot startup (if it exists).

Completely shut down the system and let it sit for several seconds.

Boot the computer and check for any difference.

If desired, enable the Fast Boot startup again.

OR

Check your computer for needed Driver updates

OR

Run the Reliability report to find "oddities" that may have occurred during Update(s)

OR

Restart everything (again), including the router for your network.  If the problem is nothing more than a stuck / stubborn process in the network or if there is a locked-up bit of instruction, restarting everything may untangle it.

Thank you for your help with my question about double booting even thought this is a Dell Forum and I addressed it as an HP question.  I just bought an HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M281cdw printer which I am trying to connect with the Dell Inspiron computer with no luck so far.  I am thinking maybe the double booting problem has something to do with it.

Kudos to you and the forum.

You are welcome.

Consider...

If the recent update (whatever it was) affected the BIOS, try setting the BIOS back to "defaults".

Not sure about the "double boot" connection issue.  It is true that after the Full Solution Software is first installed, the system does require a Restart.

General / Basics

If the software is already installed and you want (need) to uninstall it:

Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features >

Scroll down, click, and Uninstall the software

After the software is removed, Restart the computer and log in

If you have not done so,

Download, save, and install the Full Solution Software

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in

NOTE:  If using USB, disconnect the USB cable between the printer and the computer before starting the installation.  Connect the cable when instructed to do so (toward the end of the installation procedure).

Video help:

Open the printer’s Homepage >

Scroll down and select Video Tutorials > Click View All >

Find and view the relevant video

Consider installing the printer Firmware

READ (if provided) all instructions before installing the firmware

If / After the firmware is installed, Restart the computer and log in
