Hello,
Thank you for helping me,
My Envy Notebook 13-d001ne was working perfectly. Battery is 1 year old and was holding 4-5 hours. The laptop was left on charge for couple of days. When I disconnected it from power and turned it on, it switched off after 1 min.
I put the power back, the charger light was orange and turns blue after 30 sec before turning off. Laptop will not start.
I disconnected the battery, the PC works on power with no problem. As soon as I connect the battery, it stops working at all. Even when connected to power.
1 extra information, (not sure if it's linked) when I succeed to turn the PC on (on power with battery removed), I get the message :
"The CMOS checksum is invalid. The CMOS will be reset to the default configuration and will be rebooted. Please check your BIOS setup to see if they change.
CMOS Reset (502)"
I've changed the internal BIOS battery with a new one, nothing changed.
Thank you for your help, I'm totally lost

Welcome to the HP User Community.
This product series was introduced back in 2015.
Perhaps (even likely) the original battery is just bad and can no longer be used.

Thank you very much for your answer. I believe you are right, my RTC battery 829306-001 might be dead. I tried your solution and tried buying one from https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=829306-001, it's for sale in USA but not from Europe (I am in France). I've searched hours to understand how RTC compatibility works, with no luck. I removed my RTC battery, opened, removed the plastic and I can see DBV Lithium Battery CR2016 3V. When I google this model, I find many of them with different mAh. I found 1 online very similar to mine (DBV Lithium Battery CR2016 3V but with a part number 702853-001 and ASIN number, is it compatible with my laptop?
Thanks 100000 for your support and I really hope to sort out this problem.
