At first, there weren't really any issues, but eventually, I encountered the same kind of freezing problem again. I guess that solution didn't work. Is there another solution? If not, I suppose I'll just keep using the computer in discrete graphics mode. Thanks a lot for your help.

Check recent windows update history, of both updates and driver updates. Post screenshot here

Here are the screenshots of the driver update history. To clarify the timeline: I did the DDU clean uninstall + manual AMD driver install as you suggested, then switched to Hybrid mode. It worked fine for about a day, but the freezing happened again yesterday — before this new Windows Update driver installation you can see in the screenshots (which started today, after the freeze). So it doesn't look like Windows Update caused this particular freeze; it happened with the clean manually-installed driver too.Ekran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123610.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123610.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123601.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123601.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123543.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123543.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123529.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 123529.png

Also, I just noticed Windows Update is now pending a restart to install: 'Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Display Driver Update (32.0.22042.29001)'. I haven't restarted yet — should I let it install, or block it and stick with the manually installed driverEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 124719.pngEkran görüntüsü 2026-08-25 124719.png

Windows Update history shows AMD driver updates, so this is likely what happened: when you manually install any AMD driver, Windows detects it and pushes its own older AMD driver version on top of the newer one you installed. This can corrupt the driver and the AMD software as well.

To perform a clean installation of a stable AMD VGA driver while preventing Windows from overwriting it, you need to follow these steps:

Download and save the following:
- A stable AMD VGA driver from the HP website
- DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)
- Microsoft’s “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter tool

You likely have the AMD VGA driver and DDU already, so I’ve provided a link to the Microsoft hide tool here:

I’ve attached the image below. Open it to view it clearly and follow the steps shown. (You can skip or ignore the AMD chipset part.)

AMD driver that you need to install is VGA driver from hp page. I could share this page source but it's not allow in community. So I uploaded image.
