I bought my laptop in 2020. And recently, my laptop battery will suddenly drain to 0 and turn off. Everytime I'm plugging in, the battery charging quickly increasing from 0 to 6, then suddenly jump to 100. And the cycle will repeat. I don't know what's wrong with my laptop, but is it related to battery problems?

@Vier7, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Battery Health:

Open Command Prompt and type powercfg /batteryreport to see your battery's health.

Calibrate the Battery:

Let the battery drain to 0% and then fully charge it to 100%. This might fix the inaccurate battery readings.

Update Drivers and BIOS:

Make sure your battery drivers and BIOS are up-to-date.

Try a Different Charger:

Sometimes the charger or cable could be the problem, so try using another one if possible.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
