my laptop died and when I plugged it up, it showed no signs of charging. I have tried the reset where it’s unplugged and you hold the power button for 15 seconds and the watt light on the power button will come on for about four seconds and then nothing else happens. I’ve let it charge overnight. It is a  HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 15-fe0053dx.

Based on your HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 15-fe0053dx model and the symptoms you've described, this issue likely points to a deeper power-related problem. One of the most common fixes in situations like this is to open the laptop and reseat the internal battery connector.

Many users have reported that simply disconnecting the battery, holding the power button for 20–30 seconds to drain any residual power, and then reconnecting the battery helped bring their laptop back to life. If that doesn't work, it's also worth examining the charger and the DC power jack; sometimes a faulty connection or a damaged jack can cause intermittent power delivery, even if the adapter light briefly comes on.

You might also try using a different, compatible HP charger to rule out any adapter issues. If none of these steps help, the issue could be with the motherboard’s power circuitry or the internal power button assembly.
