Sounds like you were using your laptop to charge your phone, right?

Was the laptop plugged in when you were doing that?

And, were you monitoring the battery level on your laptop at the time?

Indeed i was using my laptop to charge my phone and the laptop was plugged in. Also, the battery level was on 100% making me believe it's a battery failure

Yes, that's possible -- but slowness is not due to battery power, or the lack thereof; instead, slowness is due to a failing drive.

So, how slow is it, and is it still slow now?
