My laptop is not starting

I had a issue before that my laptop won't turn on untill I hit the power button 3-7 times. But It always turns on after that. Now, it's not. I removed the battery and all other external removeable components and pressed the power button for 20  - 30 secs and then plugged the charging cable nd pressed the power button.

Is this the fault of power button?

Not so much the button, as the contacts underneath it.  They will wear down over time and eventually, no matter how hard you press the button, it will not short the contacts.  These are soldered to the laptop motherboard, so you would have to pay a LOT to have the motherboard replaced -- which you are most likely NOT going to be able to do because HP does not sell motherboards for older laptops.

If you took the laptop to a local laptop repair facility, they might be able to repair or replace the contacts, but they will charge you a lot to have this done.
