Hello, it's from some day that I have a problem with my laptop where after I turn it on it turn off automatically after some second or minute while is booting, but if I don't use it for a day or some hours, it turn on withoutproble.
It all started when I removed the battery for change it with another one, as while it was still inside it corrupted or dameged the Windows Operative System files, thinking the cause was my 128 Gigabyte SSD that prevented it to turn on normaly like always.
I also noticed this while I was for download Steam, I don't know if the main issue is the Graphic Card a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 that is almost fried or something else for why my laptop keep turning off.

Hi @AndreaTheBest,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like there could be multiple issues causing your laptop to turn off automatically. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and identify the problem.
Battery Connection:
- Make sure the battery is properly connected. Ensure that it's securely in place and that there are no loose connections.
Power Supply:
- If you're using the laptop with the power adapter, ensure that the power supply is stable and not causing any fluctuations. Try using a different power outlet or power adapter if possible.
Overheating:
- Overheating can cause laptops to shut down automatically. Ensure that the cooling vents are not blocked, and the fans are working properly. You might want to clean the vents to remove any dust buildup.
Hardware Diagnostics:
- Run hardware diagnostics to check the health of your hardware components. Many laptops have built-in diagnostic tools that you can access during the boot process. Check your laptop's manual for instructions on how to run diagnostics.
Check RAM:
- Faulty RAM can also cause unexpected shutdowns. Try reseating the RAM modules or, if you have multiple RAM sticks, try using one stick at a time to see if the issue persists.
Check SSD:
- Since you mentioned changing the SSD, ensure that the new SSD is properly installed and functioning correctly. If possible, you can try reinstalling the operating system on the new SSD.
Graphics Card:
- If you suspect an issue with the graphics card, you can try updating the graphics card drivers. If the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 is indeed failing, it could cause instability. Consider testing the laptop without the dedicated graphics card to see if the problem persists.
Software Issues:
- Since you mentioned issues with the Windows operating system, it's possible that there are software-related problems. Consider reinstalling the operating system or using system restore to go back to a point before the issues started.
Event Viewer:
- Check the Event Viewer in Windows for any error messages or warnings that might provide more information about why the system is shutting down. Look for critical errors around the time of the shutdown.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi, right now I don't have my laptop with me as I'm in vacation, when I will be back I will try, one more I don't have inside my laptop a battery as I was replacing the old one that it was swell with a new one.
Also if it need, I have a video that show that happening while it's booting up, but I don't know how to upload it here.
