So whenever i use my laptop, it randomly restarts or shows black screen. Sometimes i get a bsod of hypervisor error without any specific error code. One day the screen went green aswell. But the most annoying thing that started to happen recently is that sometimes when it goes black and i have to perform a shutdown through power button and start it again. It takes ages to boot and the trackpad also stops working. After that whenever it goes black screen, it takes ages to boot and trackpad doesnt work. But then suddenly it starts quickly and trackpad miraculously starts working again. This happens to me daily affecting my productivity.
I have everything updated and it literally goes black screen when am just typing pin to log in or just surfing through google. I dont even do heavy tasks on it.

Hi @TodayzBeast,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing random reboots, black screen issues, and a non-functional trackpad on your PC—sorry to hear about the trouble. To start troubleshooting, I recommend performing a BIOS restore on your device to see if it helps resolve the issue.
Please try this and let me know how it goes. I’m happy to assist further if needed!
BIOS Restore:
1) Shutdown the computer and keep the charger plugged
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

It didnt work either, and my bios is running on latest version as well. Also i have noticed that when i unplug and plug in charger it seems to stop the issue for some time but it starts happening again. Sometimes this trick works and sometimes not at all.

Hi @TodayzBeast,
It looks like an intermittent issue on the PC, please try updating the BIOS once again on the device to F.11 Rev.A and then keep the device on observation and let me know how it works, HP Drivers page.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @TodayzBeast,
"Thank you for letting me know. In this case, the best next step is to perform a system restore to revert your PC to a date when it was working fine. Before proceeding, I strongly recommend backing up your data to prevent any loss. Once you're ready, please follow the system restore steps below. Let me know if you need any assistance along the way!"
1. Shutdown the computer.
2. Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3. Press F11 once for System Recovery.
4. Choose the Keyboard Layout.
5. Click on Troubleshoot.
6. Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Restore.
7. Choose a Restore point or a Restore date when the computer was working fine.
8. Click on OK to initialize the System Restore.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @TodayzBeast,
If you are still having trouble even after all these steps, I would best suggest you to perform an Extensive test on the Pc, run all the tests including display and let me know on this page, do you see the screen goes black.
Extensive Test -
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
- Click Extensive Test.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I ran the extensive test, it took like 2 hours and there is no probloem nor any error code. But it did show a yellow warning icon beside the battery. But didnt give any specific code and said that everything is ok.
