Hi @EastonCE__ ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your laptop is slowly blinking power button on your Victus HP Gaming Laptop with an Intel Core processor often indicates an issue related to power or hardware.

To assist better:

  • May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Remove the battery if it's removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try to turn on the laptop.

Check the Power Adapter and Battery:

  • Ensure the power adapter is working correctly. You can check this by using it with another compatible device if available.
  • Verify that the battery is properly seated and connected.

Inspect for Overheating:

  • Overheating can cause the laptop to shut down and not turn on. Ensure the vents are clear and clean of dust.
  • Place the laptop in a cool, well-ventilated area and try turning it on again after it has cooled down.

Perform a BIOS Reset:

  • Sometimes, resetting the BIOS can help. To do this, turn off the laptop, press the power button, and repeatedly press the BIOS key (usually F2, F10, or Del) to enter BIOS settings.
  • Reset to default settings, save, and exit.

Check for Component Issues:

  • If you've recently installed new hardware, such as RAM or a new SSD, remove it and try to power on the laptop. Faulty or incompatible hardware can prevent the laptop from starting.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
