Try a hard reset
Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release. Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer. |

On a laptop, remove cover plate to get access to the memory. If there is no cover plate then search youtube for a disassembly video. |
Discharge static electricity by touching a finger to metal frame or case before removing memory sticks.
Clean the memory contacts with eraser, use air duster, reseat memory.
Reseat one at a time if necessary to find the bad one if the problem is the memory.
