@Brad194, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a Notebook Stuck in a Boot Loop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Notebook 14 is stuck in a boot loop and won't start correctly, there are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve this issue. Here is a systematic approach:
Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect any external devices and remove the battery (if it's removable).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and plug in the charger.
- Turn on the laptop and see if the issue is resolved.
Step 2: Use Startup Repair
- Turn on the laptop and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly until the Choose an option screen appears.
- Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the startup repair.
Step 3: Boot into Safe Mode
- Turn on the laptop and press the F11 key repeatedly until the Choose an option screen appears.
- Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- After restarting, press the number key 4 to boot into Safe Mode.
- Once in Safe Mode, try to identify and resolve software conflicts which may include uninstalling recently installed programs or drivers.
Step 4: Perform System Restore
- Turn on the laptop and press the F11 key repeatedly until the Choose an option screen appears.
- Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to restore the system to a previous state before the issue started.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
