Hi @shak4567 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing issues with sleep mode on your HP Pavilion X360 can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. Here are some suggestions:

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date with the latest Windows updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases patches that address such issues.

Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause sleep mode issues. Visit the HP support website and download the latest graphics drivers for your specific model.

Update Power Management Drivers: Make sure that your power management drivers are up-to-date. You can find these drivers on the HP support website as well.

Adjust Power Settings: Go to the Power Options in the Control Panel and make sure that your power plan settings are configured correctly. You can try changing the settings related to sleep mode to see if it resolves the issue.

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Navigate to "Power Options."
  • Click on "Change plan settings" for your selected power plan.
  • Adjust the sleep settings accordingly.

Check for Third-Party Software Conflicts: Some third-party applications or antivirus software may interfere with sleep mode. Try disabling or uninstalling recently installed software to see if the issue persists.

Update BIOS/UEFI: Check if there is a BIOS or UEFI update available for your laptop on the HP support website. Updating the system firmware may resolve compatibility issues.

Run Power Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in Power Troubleshooter that can help identify and fix power-related problems. Run the troubleshooter by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Power.

Check Event Viewer: Look for any error messages or warnings related to power management in the Windows Event Viewer. This might provide more specific information about what is causing the restart during sleep.

Restore Default Power Settings: If you've made extensive changes to your power settings, consider restoring them to their default values and see if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
