 For some time now, my laptop boots into this menu before getting to the windows menu.

Any idea how I can boot my pc directly to  windows?

I'm on a Hp 840 G4.

Have not personally seen this -- so I have to guess ... but if the PC came preloaded in BIOS mode, and it got switched to UEFI mode, then it won't automatically boot anymore and might throw up this screen.

 

So, you should go into the BIOS/UEFI settings and see if it got changed to UEFI mode from Legacy mode.
